Danielle and Skye were over the other side of the world at the start of the month for the annual Goldwell MBE! This year the international conference was held in Vietnam! They’re so excited to go network with other Goldwell Salons from all around the globe, find out what our amazing brand Goldwell has in store for us in the next year and of course have a bit of fun while they’re at it! This opportunity to go and meet with hairdressers from all over is what makes the Avaia difference! Keeping up with up and coming trends, discovering new techniques/ products and introduce the Avaia flair to the rest of the world! We are opening up our doors for even longer!!
Avaia Hair is bursting at the seams at this point but we don’t want to have anyone feeling left out if they can’t get in! So, we have decided to open our doors a little longer on our three late nights. We all understand that everyone has very busy lives that sometimes cant peel themselves away from work right on 5pm.. Sooo, on Tuesday and Wednesday we will be open till 8pm and then on Thursday we will be open till 9pm!! These nights do book out so get in quick!!
New and improved Avaia Hair!
We have some big plans for the revamping of our beautiful salon! In the coming months you will see less walls, more stations and some more greenery around the salon! We are so excited about bringing some changes into our little space and can’t wait for everyone to see them! The salon has exploded and we find we are not having enough room for our clients so there will be a couple more stations and basins put in to accommodate our amazing clientele! We love you and can’t wait for everyone to see the new and improved space!
We have Aircon finally!
Firstly, we want to thank all the clients that have been in the past 2 months for your complete understanding in this unfortunate circumstance! We have good news… We are finally getting a whole new air conditioning system! We are very lucky that this happened while it was winter (although winter rarely makes an appearance in Mackay) but we cannot stress enough how grateful we are for everyone’s understanding! Next time you’re in make sure to bring a jumper! It’s going to be cool!

Avaia Hair has exploded in the past couple months and we are loving the amazing hair we’ve been producing! However, we have been noticing that our beloved regular clients have been having a hard time getting appointments. Obviously we want to look after everyone but some days we are booked to the brim! It’s so important to us to make sure you have beautiful hair all the time so that’s why we are highly recommending rebooking 6-8 weeks after your appointment! This ensures that you have an appointment booked in for when you need it done, or acts as a reminder that its time to come back in and see us! If you book in, and realise you can’t make it that’s totally fine! We would be more than happy to reschedule you! All we ask is you give us 24 hours’ notice for your cancellation!! Otherwise we will ask for payment of 50% of your service.. If you reply to your text you receive the day or two before your appointment that gives us plenty of time to fill your spot and reschedule you! We hope that in the future we can keep you booked in so that you don’t ever miss out your relaxation time at Avaia!
